Rasmus Hojlund unleashed a furious blast in the direction of Alejandro Garnacho after the Argentina international missed a chance against Southampton. The Manchester United striker was beside himself as his team-mate sliced a shot wide with 20 minutes on the clock. The 21-year-old forward broke into the box before pulling the ball back for Garnacho, who failed to hit the target with the scores level.
Hojlund booted the woodwork before venting at Garnacho, and television replays displayed his frustration as United struggled to get a foothold in the game. The Red Devils have rejected a bid from Napoli for the Garnacho, who is said to be available for the right price.
Denmark ace Hojlund meanwhile, was replaced by Joshua Zirkzee after 53 minutes having failed to add to his two Premier League goals this term. Amad Diallo managed to outscore him in a heroic 12-minute spell as his late hat-trick earned United victory on Thursday evening.
Ruben Amorim's side were out-performed in the opening half by Southampton as Manuel Ugarte's own-goal ensured the Saints went into the break with a one-goal advantage at Old Trafford. The game looked to be straying towards another home defeat for United until Amad pulled one goal back after 82 minutes.
There was no stopping the young winger from there as he then added goals in the 90th and 94th minute to secure three points. Garnacho was among the chief protagonists celebrating with the former Sunderland loanee. Despite it being United's first home win since December 1st, Amorim was not left entirely happy with how events unfolded at the Theatre of Dreams. The 39-year-old head coach was quick to acknowledge his side have yet to master playing with home advantage.
