*Warning: Contains minor spoilers for The Traitors Series 3, Episode 1*. The Traitors returned to TV screens tonight after a year-long wait (January 1), with viewers finally introduced to the 22 players vying for a cash prize of up to £120,000. Three of the group have been selected to play as Traitors, who must 'murder' the other players and make it to the end of the game without getting caught. Meanwhile the rest play as Faithfuls, tasked with catching the Traitors before the end of the game.

If a Traitor remains undetected, they snatch the whole prize fund for themselves, whereas if the Faithfuls manage to eliminate them, the prize pot is shared equally. Usually, contestants reveal their true identities in the final as they leave, but this year, Traitors and Faithfuls do not have to disclose who they are.

Among the cast of personalities this year is Charlotte, who is harbouring one of the biggest secrets of the series. Viewers have become used to secret relationships between players emerging as the show progresses, such as mother and son duo Diane and Ross in series two.

While this year there are two sisters in the cast, they have been upfront about their relationship with their fellow players. However in the first episode, it was revealed that Charlotte is not all she seems. The 32-year-old business director, who claimed to be from Abergavenny, was seen chatting with another Welsh contestant in the kitchen. But speaking in the confession room, Charlotte revealed the truth.

"I kind of thought in the past there has only been one person from Wales but this year Claudia has decided to bring two of us here, which is so nice," she began. "Though actually, it's a bit of a spanner in the works because I'm not actually from Wales.".
