Appearing on Ben Fowler's podcast Road To Success a few days before Richard and his wife Mindy announced their split, Izzy was asked: "Would you call your dad a daredevil or an idiot?".
His daughter Izzy recently claimed he wasn't around a lot during her childhood as he was always filming for Top Gear and The Grand Tour.
In 2006, he was involved in a horrific car crash while filming for the former and ended up in a coma in intensive care for several weeks after suffering a brain injury.
He shared that he had been experiencing a "dream" that was "really vivid" whilst "a lot of morphine" flowed through his system towards the end of his time in the coma.
