In a fresh discussion with Sky Sports, Amorim has suggested that a person within Rashford's entourage told the forward to make last week's bombshell statement which shocked his team-mates at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils boss has left the door open for Rashford to play again before the January transfer window, with United due to face Wolves and Newcastle before the end of the year.
His comments came after being left out of United's squad for their clash with rivals Manchester City and Amorim hasn't recalled him for the two games since.
"But I understand that this kind of player, they have a lot of people around them making some choices that are sometimes not the first idea from the player.
