Saturday Kitchen viewers were left split over Harry Hill's appearance on today's (December 21) episode, with the comedian sparking a mixed reaction with his trademark slapstick humour. Joining host Matt Tebbutt for the BBC show's festive finale, Harry was there to chat about his latest offering, How to Be Silly Every Day of the Year. The programme also welcomed chefs Poppy O'Toole, Anna Haugh, and Owen Morgan.

While Harry had his fellow guests in stitches with his gags throughout the episode, fans at home were torn over his antics, with some branding him "cringe.". X, previously known as Twitter, saw one fan gush: "Harry Hill is quality. How can anyone not like him...by not liking him I suppose.".

Another viewer expressed their annoyance: "I'm one! Can't stand him! Makes me cringe!", as a third defended the star: "I love Harry Hill, he's so silly and clever at the same time!". Another disgruntled viewer lamented: "B****y Harry B****y Hill. Christmas is ruined", reports the Express.

Suggesting that even the show's other guests weren't buying into Harry's humour, another commented: "Wow! This is hard work! Time to turn over - the fake laughter is too much!". Meanwhile, others were loving it, with one tweeting: "Loving Harry Hill on #SaturdayKitchen. He's hilarious" and another declaring: "I b****y love Harry Hill.".

Despite the divided opinions online, Harry's presence seemed to be a hit with his peers on Saturday Kitchen. Poppy, famed for her role as a Young MasterChef judge, couldn't hide her excitement on social media, posting: "Tune in now BBC1 at 9.30am for @SaturdayKitchen where I can't believe I'm sharing the screen with the icon Harry Hill. I'M READY!".
