The Christmas fun may have wrapped up, yet die-hard Christmas fans are still hankering for a succulent slice of turkey and all the festive trimmings as the days roll on. For those plotting to polish off their remaining festive feast well into the weekend or perhaps cooking up a fresh turkey for relatives missed on Christmas Day, bargain-hunting continues. And it seems one shrewd shopper from the 'BARGAIN LOVERS Poundland, Home Bargains, B&M, Primark, The Range and More' hit the jackpot with their recent find.
In an impressive haul, they discovered a Sainsbury's Taste the Difference British Free Range Traditionally Dressed Game Hung Turkey, catering for 10-12 people, and the staggering price drop certainly caused a stir. Originally priced at £70.32, this discerning customer bagged the bird for a mere 10p on Boxing Day - even snapping up two. That's two whole turkeys for just 20p.
With a use-by date of Boxing Day itself, this was prime for anyone extending the celebrations or savvy enough to stash away in the freezer. Others could only look on in envy, dreaming of landing such a fantastic deal themselves. One lady chortled: "That's what I call a bargain; I hope they are delicious." A man wrote: "My kind of person, you can't beat a yellow sticker. Enjoy it, good find".
One critic shared their perspective on festive feasting, saying: "Even if I could afford that at full price, I wouldn't buy it. We had Aldi roast Turkey breast, and it was nice. Unless you're gonna do the whole showpiece dinner, I can't see the point of buying a whole bird.".
