Apple TV+ hasn't greenlit a third season of Severance just yet, but it looks like the second season is set to end on another suspenseful note, hinting at further enigmas within Lumon Industries. The much-awaited second season of Severance is due to drop this Friday, January 17, marking one of the year's most eagerly awaited television comebacks, almost three years after the first critically lauded series wrapped up in 2022.
The thrilling climax of the last season saw Mark S (played by Adam Scott) come to in his 'outie's' home, only to find that his thought-to-be-dead wife is actually Ms Casey (Dichen Lachman), the wellness counsellor at Lumon. At the same time, Helly R (Britt Lower) comes to the shocking realisation that she's the CEO of Lumon's daughter, and Irving B (John Turturro) has an 'outie' who's been painting disturbing recollections of a shadowy corridor.
Eager fans are clamouring for answers about the bizarre happenings on the severed floor, and recently, the cast and creators dropped some hints about what's in store for the season finale and the series' broader horizon, reports the Mirror US. Collider encapsulated the collective shock following the 2022 finale with "Holy F, I need season two right now.".
Scott hinted at the audience's reaction, saying: "I hope they'll say the exact same thing, 'Holy F, I need season three'.". Tramell Tillman, who plays the role of floor supervisor Seth Milchick, along with Lower, concurred, indicating that the conclusion of the upcoming Severance season will be just as mind-blowing.
