WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Severance season 2. After a long wait of nearly three years, the second season of Severance has finally hit our screens, and it's already causing quite a stir among fans. The first episode, aptly named Hello, Ms. Cobel, saw the return of Mark S (played by Adam Scott), Dylan (Zach Cherry), Irving (John Turturro) and Helly (Britt Lower) to Lumon Industries.

Following a false start where Mark found himself amidst a new team, the original quartet was eventually reunited. Each shared their experiences of what they'd witnessed in the outside world, with Irving disclosing that he'd seen his lover Burt (Christopher Walken) with another partner, leaving him heartbroken, reports the Mirror US.

Irving also unveiled that his Outie had repeatedly painted a black hallway with a downward-pointing elevator, hinting that the Severance procedure might not be as straightforward or permanent as Lumon had initially suggested. However, it was Helly's alleged account of her experiences in the outside world that left fans puzzled.

She claimed to have been in a "boring apartment", watching a nature programme and sporting a save the gorillas T-shirt. Helly recounted attempting to converse with a man gardening outside about the sinister happenings at Lumon, but he dismissed her as insane and threatened to inform his "cop" friend.
