This is the shocking moment a £10million superyacht smashed into a cruise ship off the Bahamas. Footage taken by passengers shows the Aurora yacht veering diagonally towards the massive Allure of the Seas cruise ship while it was docked in Nassau Harbour on December 12.

Horrified cruise guests standing at the railing can be heard shouting: 'That's for sure about to hit us. They're hitting us. Oh no they're going to hit us.'. The 121ft yacht then smashed into the Royal Caribbean ship with a loud crash, before it scraped along the hull of the 1,187ft cruise liner, accompanied by deafening creaking sounds.

'When it got to about a third of the way past the cruise ship as it was entering the port, it suddenly swung right and just kept coming closer,' witness Dayanni Bhagwandin, who filmed the crash, told 7 News Miami. 'The yacht kept going along the cruise so I guess it kind of just kept hitting it and touching the side as it moved forward. And then eventually went on to the port.'.

The yacht's mast even struck one of the lifeboats on the cruise ship, which ripped off its radar dome and left debris lying on the yacht. The Allure of the Seas only sustained minimal damage and set off from the Bahamas port with a 40-minute delay.
