Horrified cruise passengers captured the moment a £10million luxury superyacht crashed into the side of a giant liner in the Bahamas. The luxury yacht Aurora appears to have lost control and crashed into the gigantic Royal Caribbean liner Allure of the Seas while the cruise ship was docked in Nassau Harbour. Shocked passengers on board the 225,000-ton cruise liner filmed as the 121-foot superyacht veered towards the enormous vessel before slamming into its hull with an almighty crunch.

The superyacht can be seen scraping up the side of the vast cruise liner, scraping along its hull as a crew member frantically tries to stop the impact. As the Aurora, a Nordhavn 120 explorer yacht built in 2014, grinds along the side of the ship the top of its mast struck one of the lifeboats on the larger vessel shattering its radar dome leaving debris strewn around the yacht’s deck.

Dayanni Bhagwandin was able to capture the yacht smash on camera, he described the moment of impact, saying: “When it got to about a third of the way past the cruise ship as it was entering the port, it suddenly swung right and just kept coming closer.” He told 7 News Miami: "I grabbed my phone, and then I heard the impact—it was so loud.”.

The 362-meter-long Allure of the Seas was docked at the port while on a four-day cruise to the Bahamas when the collision took place. The massive vessel, which can carry up to 6,800 passengers and crew, suffered minimal damage from the smash and departed Nassau after a 40 minute delay.
