Sir Jim Ratcliffe finally responds to Ruben Amorim’s ‘worst Man Utd team’ comment

Sir Jim Ratcliffe will NOT take action on Ruben Amorim after he called his side the “worst team” in Manchester United’s history. The Portuguese coach slammed his Red Devils flops last weekend after their 3-1 defeat to Brighton at Old Trafford. He said: “In 10 games in the Premier League, we won two. I know that. We are the worst team maybe in the history of Manchester United.”.
Amorim has since backtracked on those comments. Speaking in midweek, he added: “I'm a young guy and sometimes I make a mistake. That's why I don't talk after the game. “This game, I needed to talk and maybe it was a mistake and then I get more nervous and go to the press conference really nervous and say things I shouldn't say, that's it. I don't promise you I won't do it again, but I will try to improve.
“Sometimes I should not say it in those terms, but it is what it is. I understand I give you that headline and I am frustrated sometimes.”. And it has now been revealed how Ratcliffe has felt about Amorim’s particular outspoken comments. According to The Guardian, the INEOS owner has ‘no concern’ that Amorim’s criticism will cause players to lose faith or affect those performances.
It is suggested that he is aware that players understand that the former Sporting Lisbon has an intense desire to win and his outburst will be forgotten about quickly. Meanwhile, Amorim revealed recently that his stars understand his comments and there is a collective desire to improve results.
Asked how the players were, he said: “Fine. They know me. It's easier for them to recognise what I'm saying than the other people. I don't control what people think and say. It was a little bit my fault to create all that. It's history, it's in the past, so let's focus on the next game today.
