After Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) suffocated her dad and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) disposed of his body, they fobbed Steph off by telling her Anthony had skipped town.
The police shared her concern and began escalating the case – starting with raiding Cain Dingle’s (Jeff Hordley) garage after believing he was the last one to see Anthony.
Steph was horrified to see Cain arrested and that he might have some connection to the disappearance – this means her parents had been hiding the truth.
While it’s perfectly plausible Anthony would pack up and leave at a moment’s notice, Steph won’t accept it because she has no idea he’s a paedophile – and that he’s really her biological dad.
