A whole host of celebrities have been included in the prestigious New Year's Honours List 2025. The annual ceremony recognises unsung heroes who have made outstanding contributions to their communities across the UK. This year, there's a rich mix of stars being bestowed the honour, including Happy Valley star, Sarah Lancashire, actress Carey Mulligan and MasterChef O.G, Loyd Grossman.

One notable omission is David Beckham, who has missed out on the coveted title again. His legion of loyal fans reckon he should be a shoo- in for the gong, particularly after David was papped with the King a number of times this year. However, it looks like Goldenballs will have to wait to receive his longed for Knighthood.

In the meantime, here's a list of all the stars who have received the illustrious honours, starting with Coronation Street legend, Sarah Lancashire... Happy Valley star, Sarah Lancashire, has said being recognised in the New Year's Honours is an "unexpected delight".

The actress has won plaudits for her role in Happy Valley and Last Tango in Halifax after shooting to fame in her breakthrough role in Coronation Street as Raquel Watts. Sarah has been made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for her services to drama.

Stephen Fry has received a Knighthood for his work on mental health awareness. He is an honorary fellow of Royal College of Psychiatrists and President of the mental health charity Mind since 2011. During his time as President of Mind, he has been instrumental in changing the conversation around mental health and has worked tirelessly to change public attitudes in the UK about mental health for the better.
