Mammoth driveways, tennis courts and ‘monstrously large homes’ are just some of the features lining the opulent Surrey street named the most expensive outside London. With property prices averaging out at £8,000,000, East Road in Weybridge has taken home the crown. The homes here are occupied by those with some of the deepest pockets in the UK and exceed the typical house price of £356,925 by more than £7,000,000.

It’s not just East Road that’s abundant though, as Weybridge has long been known for its wealth. The wider exclusive gated community of St George’s Hill – of which East Road forms a part – has been home to many a celeb over the years, including the likes of Elton John, Tom Jones and Cliff Richard.

And, as per a study from WealthInsight, the Surrey town is actually one of the wealthiest in the country with 800 millionaires. With a population of just 19,500, that’s pretty significant – enough to land it in second place behind Windsor, which is home to over 850.
East Road itself is blurred out on Google Maps, proof that if money buys you anything, it’s at the very least a bit of privacy. But a quick online search shows multiple properties currently available on this exclusive street through Zoopla – priced at £10,500,000 and £6,950,000 respectively.
Elsewhere, one home is currently on the market via Savills for considerably higher than the average at £22,950,000, boasting six reception rooms, nine bedroom suites, a cinema, semicircular orangery and even a sunroom linking to a private swimming pool, sauna, spa, gymnasium and leisure area.
