The giveaway is part of the Co-op's advent calendar - a month long spree of offers and access to a number of free goodies. Savvy consumers are rushing to get their hands on the chocolate offering just in time for the big day. If you want to get in on the offer, just download the Co-op app.

Find the promotion link to get your sweet treat, completely free of charge. The membership costs £1 and gets you in on all the freebies the supermarket has to offer. One commenter was quick to jump on the deal saying he bought his this morning. For other saving hacks, TopCashback is giving shoppers cashback when they some of their favourite sweet treats.

These include tubs of Quality Street, Heroes and Celebrations. Consumers are getting as much as £6 worth of free chocolates before Christmas. Firstly you need to spend £4 or more on chocolates to get the £6 cashback. It is currently live and ends on December 31 - so you have until the new year.

However, it's only available to members who are new to the website, meaning that if you're an existing member you unfortunately can't cash in. It costs nothing to sign up and is quick and easy to do. You'll just need to provide an email and spend a couple of minutes making a password.
