Teacher who stabbed pupil, 8, to death 'put another person in headlock the day before' A teacher who confessed to brutally stabbing one of her pupils to death was involved in a separate violent incident just days before.
The teacher in her 40s confessed to stabbing an eight-year-old girl to death in Daejeon, South Korea, on Monday, after the youngster was discovered with multiple stab wounds on the second floor of a school building.
She had been involved in a previous incident in which she held another teacher in a headlock, just days after returning to work from a brief leave of absence.
Investigators are yet to theorise a motive for either incident, with no personal connection found between the teacher and the eight-year-old stabbing victim.
The eight-year-old was found by her grandmother, officials from the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education said in a media briefing on Tuesday, and officials have shared their condolences to the family.
