Teddy Sheringham claims Sir Alex Ferguson would ‘boot Man Utd star out the door’

Sir Alex Ferguson would ‘boot’ one Manchester United player ‘out the door’ if he was still in charge of the club, according to Teddy Sheringham. Ferguson established himself as one of the greatest managers of all-time during his 27-year spell at United, lifting 13 Premier League titles and two Champions Leagues.
His man-management has been commended by former players but Fergie was also known for being ruthless and Sheringham says he would not have stood for Marcus Rashford’s admission that he wants out. Rashford admitted last month that he felt ‘ready for a new challenge’, having stagnated at his boyhood club over the past two seasons.
After being left out of the Manchester derby by new Old Trafford boss Ruben Amorim, Rashford said: ‘If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse. ‘I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.
‘When I leave it’s going to be “no hard feelings”. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person. ‘For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps.’. Sheringham insists Rashford’s days as a Manchester United player are ‘numbered’ and says he would have been ‘booted out’ already if Sir Alex was still at the helm.
