WAITROSE has reintroduced its free coffee perk in a bid to lure customers back from rivals M&S. The upmarket store used to give members of its loyalty scheme a complimentary hot drink once a day irrespective of whether they buy anything, but withdrew the scheme in the pandemic.

Now MyWaitrose members have been emailed to say it is back – perfect timing in a month where money is tight. A poll by Nationwide found four in ten people had already run out of cash a week ago, with 36 per cent cooking at home and 27 per cent skipping morning coffees until pay day.

Register for the IKEA Family loyalty scheme to get a free tea or filter coffee on weekdays at participating stores. Sign up to the MyMcDonalds App and a deal to get a free medium fries will show there. Available at participating restaurants and you need to order via the mobile app.
