THERE are plenty of weird and wacky ways to make money on the internet, but have you ever considered making a fortune from your feet?. One entrepreneurial TikTokker is a self-proclaimed 'footfluencer', a lucrative hustle that's garnering traction online as a way to make some quick cash.
Even celebs like Lily Allen have turned to flogging pics of their toes. The video shows how she makes hundreds of pounds from foot enthusiasts, by simply buying, wearing and selling shoes and socks. In he clip she can be seen purchasing a selection of cheap and ugly shoes, hunting for the lowest priced footwear in stores like Tesco.
The TikTokker picks up a variety of styles, from ballet pumps to boat shoes - and even grabs a £4 pair of socks from H&M. She added a caption to the clip, which said: "I buy the cheapest, ugliest shoes &... "Turn them into this.". The following footage shows the money she claims to make from selling her used footwear - and it's a jaw-dropping amount.
In one clip she can be seen clutching an envelope stuffed full of notes and in another video she's holding a fist full of cash. The footfluencer even shows her online payments of amounts between £40 - £500, all sent to her by happy customers. It sounds like a lot of cash - but selling feet pics and used shoes and socks is seemingly a lucrative business, with one person claiming to have earned £190k in just two years of the hustle.
People buy them for all sorts of reasons, some even trying to satisfy a foot fetish. Foot fetishes are very common. Some scientists think that it's because feet are next to genitals in the part of the brain that responds to touch, so sometimes the wires get crossed.
