Below, we’ve rounded up our favourite titles to get excited about…. The Housemaid by Freida McFadden. After spending 108 weeks (and counting) on the Amazon bestseller list, Freida McFadden’s psychological thriller The Housemaid is being translated to the screen by Bridesmaids director Paul Feig.

The film will star Sydney Sweeney as Millie, a struggling woman who has recently been paroled from prison and takes up a job as a housemaid to Nina (Amanda Seyfried) and Andrew (Brandon Sklenar), an upscale, wealthy couple. She soon learns that the family’s secrets are far more dangerous than her own.

The Housemaid will come out next Christmas Day, 25th December 2025. Verity by Colleen Hoover. Following the success of It Ends With Us, another Colleen Hoover bestseller has caught Hollywood’s eye: Verity. The story follows Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota Johnson), a struggling writer who is on the brink of financial ruin when she accepts the job offer of a lifetime. Jeremy Crawford (Josh Hartnett), husband of best-selling thriller author Verity Crawford (Anne Hathaway), has hired Lowen to complete the remaining books in a successful series, which his wife is unable to finish after a mysterious accident.
