THE CHIC LIST: I'll have what she's wearing - my midwinter movie icons

Every Christmas I make a mental list of movies to watch. As well as having that all-important feel-good factor to top up my festive cheer, I like films with a strong sweater game and characters with fabulous and classic winter style. Here’s what and who I will be watching and why.
Jumper, Bamford, trousers, Needle & Thread. . @thestylistandthewardrobe. @youmagazine. Jacket £69.99, zara.com. Add a touch of classic glamour to your festive outfits with a faux-fur cover-up. The high street has a very good selection that won’t break the bank and this Zara iteration is no exception.
Jumper, £350, & Daughter, net-a-porter.com. There is something magical about a red cable-knit at this time of year. Pair with worn-in jeans or black trousers and pearls. This one from & Daughter has When Harry Met Sally… vibes. Actress Gemma Arterton looking stylish at the Fayre of St James’s charity Christmas carol service in London’s Piccadilly (right). She wore a black mini dress, red lipstick and what I predicted would be the tights of the season: black 20 denier. All while delivering a festive reading to 500 guests.
