In Hollywood, as in any line of work, colleagues are not always going to get on like a house on fire – and there have been many occasions where co-stars have ended up in disputes. It Ends With Us has been in the spotlight once more following reports of tension on set as leading lady Blake Lively sues her co-star and director Justin Baldoni for sexual harassment.
The film, based on the Colleen Hoover book of the same name, was released in August and saw Lively, 37, face intense criticism after claims the two leading stars were embroiled in a bitter feud. It has since been reported Baldoni plans to countersue Lively after she submitted the 80-page lawsuit.
From small spats that eventually got sorted to all-out grudges that have prevented two stars from working together again, the world of film and TV has a long history of actors falling out while on the job. Here, we take a look at some of the fiercest feuds Hollywood has ever seen.
Despite having incredible onscreen chemistry as Agent Dana Scully and Agent Fox Mulder in The X Files, Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny’s relationship wasn’t always out of this world. Both actors have been open about periods of time on set where the actors simply didn’t get along or even speak outside of work.
Anderson told The Guardian in 2008: ‘There were definitely periods when we hated each other. Hate is too strong a word. We didn’t talk for long periods of time. ‘It was intense, and we were both pains in the a** for the other at various times.’.
