Say goodbye to your cute Santa toy and Christmas tree ornaments because this year's holiday symbol is a festive-themed gingerbread man with giant eyes and a wonky smile - and it's selling out fast. The untraditional Ty toy has become a holiday sensation, after going viral on X, formerly known as Twitter, last week and selling out in numerous stores.

The plush toy, dubbed Cookie, features the signature Beanie Baby large round eyes, with a thinly drawn smile and a red button nose sitting just above it. The toy's round face has a frosting border as well as around its hands and feet. On Cookie's stomach are two buttons in green and yellow.

The cookie-craze kicked off after X user Devin posted a photo of a tiny toy on a keyring where they admitted they originally had declared it 'ugly.'. 'Saw this guy and said ew ew ew ew ew ew ugly and then felt so bad I cried and bought him,' X user wrote, alongside a picture of said toy.
