The Yorkshire Vet star feared he 'ended a couple's marriage' after finding item inside dog Julian Norton, the beloved vet from The Yorkshire Vet, was left fearing he might have caused a marital rift after a particularly delicate extraction from a dog.
Writing for Woman's Weekly, Julian recounted: "We retrieved a pair of lacy underpants from a Labrador and gave them to the husband and wife, who were so grateful that the dog was OK - until the wife said, 'They're not mine.'"
The 52 year old vet often deals with canines that have ingested odd items, including a puppy that swallowed party poppers and another suspected of eating a mole.
He recalled a recent case where a woman was "quite distressed" believing her dog had eaten a mole, fearing the animal would try to burrow out of her pet.
His initial fear was that the dog would suffer from a blockage or the poppers would detonate inside the pup.
