Alison Hammond found herself blushing on This Morning when their guest, a veteran stripper, started shedding clothes live on the show. The conversation turned saucy as they debated if strippers were fading out of popularity during hen parties. Dermot O'Leary noted some recent buzz suggesting that traditional hen party acts are losing their appeal.
Commenting on this market shift, Alison remarked: "According to new party organisers, male strippers are being ditched for escape rooms and axe throwing.". To delve deeper, they welcomed one gentleman who's been in the stripping business for over three and a half decades and was convinced that stripping isn't losing its luster.
Mike Stratton strutted onto the set dressed as a naval officer before commencing his routine t Rod Stewart's track, Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?. Opening up his shirt, Alison yelled: "Yes, Mike!" while she praised his performance and helped him to remove it, reports the Manchester Evening News.
However, when it came to his lower garment, Alison interjected: "No, he's not going that far, this is a daytime TV show!", thus preventing a full strip-down. Mike feigned disappointment and then joined them on the couch. Chatting about his longevity in the field, Mike mentioned he began at 18, causing Alison to exclaim: "You was only a baby!".
Dermot queried whether he'd felt any decline in demand, asking: "It's what people want for an event, right? Have you found that it's dropping off at all in your business?". Mike reminisced: "It's changed. Back in the day, there were lots of groups who toured the country. These days, the groups tend to stay in the same place.".
