I've only seen what it looks like from the back of the building but it looks like the fire really took hold.
Another resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said the damage was "really bad" and it was a popular site because of its views of the River Itchen, which runs through Eastleigh and into The Solent.
It's awful really, the damage looks really bad and hopefully nobody was hurt.
But those living nearby say they were advised the keep their windows closed this morning as it took crews several hours to calm the fire.
