Tommy Fury rematch and Canelo Alvarez mega-fight... Jake Paul’s dream 2025

Love him or hate him, Jake Paul continues to establish himself as one of the biggest stars in the world of boxing after enjoying a successful 2024. After bouncing back from his only defeat so far to Tommy Fury with wins over Nate Diaz and a triumphant knockout victory over Andre August, 'The Problem Child' was determined to stay active inside the squared-circle in 2024. Following his win over August in December 2023, Paul returned just three months later - taking on Ryan Bourland.
Eager to kick off the year with a flying start, the YouTuber-turned-boxer merely needed a little over two minutes to completely dismantle Bourland in Puerto Rico. After coming away with barely a scratch, the 27-year-old called for a clash with former heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson in July.... and his wish was eventually granted.
With a little over a month to go until the bout, however, 'Iron Mike' was forced to pull out of the scheduled heavyweight dust-up after suffering an ulcer flare-up on a flight. In boxing, though, the show must go on and up stepped former UFC fighter Mike Perry. Paul has made a bit of a habit of fighting and defeating former MMA stars, and the clash with Perry was no different - with 'The Problem Child' scoring a sixth round TKO. Eventually, his clash with Tyson was rebooked for November. While the showdown received a lot of criticism, it went ahead - with the 27-year-old extending his record to 11-1 following a unanimous decision win over the 58-year-old.
The victory capped off the perfect year for Paul - who will be hoping for a successful and busy 2025. In a recent post to social media, the young American has potentially teased that his next fight will be announced next month. In an ideal world, his dream first fight back since the Tyson clash will come against long-time rival Tommy Fury.
