Tottenham: Antonin Kinsky eligible to face Liverpool in Carabao Cup after work permit granted Tottenham new signing Antonin Kinsky has received a work permit and is eligible to face Liverpool in Wednesday's Carabao Cup semi-final first leg.

Head coach Ange Postecoglou is currently without injured No1 Guglielmo Vicario, who is sidelined until late February following surgery on a fractured foot, while understudy Fraser Forster was ruled out for Saturday's 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle through illness.

Spurs announced the signing of the 21-year-old goalkeeper from Slavia Prague, in a deal worth around £12.5million, on Sunday morning but he has been waiting for the permit before joining full first-team training with his new team-mates.

Brandon Austin made his long-awaited Spurs debut against the Toon and, if Forster does not recover, the academy graduate and Kinsky will compete to start against the league leaders in north London.

Forster, 36, started 10 consecutive matches before Saturday but was "bed-ridden and still struggling" with illness over the weekend.
