Manchester United have lost 12 of their 25 Premier League games this season (W8 D5), their most defeats from their first 25 matches of a league campaign since 1973-74 (13) – when they were last relegated from the top-flight.
Postecoglou’s side are now the first side to win three separate games against Manchester United in a single season in all competitions since Chelsea in 2012-13.
Manchester United fell to yet another Premier League defeat as James Maddison’s goal condemed them to a 1-0 defeat against Tottenham.
Tottenham, however, were able to welcome back a number of key players, and it was the returning Maddison who scored the game’s winner with a well-taken finish in the first half.
The Tottenham midfielder scored his first goal against Manchester United in the competition, in his 12th appearance versus the Red Devils.
