West Ham have completed the loan signing of the Brighton striker Evan Ferguson until the end of the season. The 20-year-old Republic of Ireland international has teamed back up with his former Brighton coach Graham Potter, who replaced Julen Lopetegui at West Ham last month. Ferguson has made 13 Premier League appearances this season, mostly off the bench. “Seeing the stadium and being here today, I’ve got a very good feeling,” he said. “I can see and know how big West Ham United is. It was a big opportunity for me to come here. I know the gaffer well and look forward to working under him again. I want to come in and do my best for the club, score goals, and see where we get to.”.
West Ham have brought back James Ward-Prowse from his loan at Nottingham Forest. No recall option was included but a mutual agreement has been reached by the clubs regarding the 30-year-old midfielder, who was limited to 10 Premier League appearances in the first half of the season. Brighton have acquired Stefanos Tzimas from Nürnberg for an undisclosed fee on a contract to 2030 but the Greece Under-21s forward will return to the Bundesliga 2 club for the remainder of the season. Brighton’s coach, Fabian Hürzeler, said: “Stefanos is an exceptional young talent, an out-and-out centre-forward with a natural ability to score goals.”.
