Hacks fans area rejoicing after the Golden Globe-winning show has found its home in the UK. Fans have been desperate for a way to watch season three of the hit comedy, and after almost a year it is finally available to stream. Sky has the broadcasting rights for all three series, with all episodes landing to the streamer from February 7. The show follows Jean Smart as fading comedian Deborah Vance as she’s forced to team up with TV writer Ava (Hannah Einbinder) to save her career.
The show won best TV series, musical or comedy at the Golden Globes earlier this month, and UK fans can’t wait to see the third season. ‘Hallelujah. Glory comes to the uk,’ wrote fan @Clarkey9 on X, and @ChatGPeter said: ‘Few of us been waiting for Hacks S3 a while.’. ‘At long last 👏👏👏 #hacks,’ @tvreality83 enthused, while @MeganJuliaaa_ quipped: ‘It’s been 84 years but finally!!’.
‘About time someone did,’ deadpanned @BRFC4Life. ‘Cheers for the update.’. It’s no surprise people are so happy, with the show boasting an average rating of 99% on Rotten Tomatoes. Hacks is the best comedy series of 2024, hands down.’.
Jean won the Emmy award for best actress in a comedy series at the 2024 Emmy Awards, making it her third in a row. Another Rotten Tomatoes user Gareth v added: ‘Still at the top of it’s game. Smart writing and some superb performances from it’s cast makes this one of the best comedies of it’s time. Must watch TV.’. And Trevor R said: ‘Best show on television! So much heart and so many laughs! The last two episodes of season 3 were my fave! I hope is comes back for another season!’.
As well as her Emmys success, Jean picked up the Golden Globe for best performance by a female actor in a television series – musical or comedy. She quipped: ‘Never thought I’d be so happy to be called a Hack.’. I bought a house with my partner — but when we broke up, he refused to sell. I finally got on the property ladder and it was the biggest mistake of my life. This £575,000 house has a ‘genius’ feature in the most unexpected place.
What I Own: I quit London at 48 and bought my first home in Sussex for £325,000. Londoners are flocking to this ‘bustling’ neighbourhood 10 miles from the centre.
