Streaming behemoth Netflix is behind some of the most eagerly awaited shows of this year, with a predicted audience of millions set to tune in once again in 2025. The streaming service has a host of new offerings ready for viewers, but it's also bringing back several blockbuster series that are guaranteed to create waves. Fresh search data from GameTop has now unveiled some of Netflix's biggest shows that are sure to get audiences buzzing in 2025, reports the Mirror US.

The firm has collected data from over 500 searches using the keywords 'release date' and '2025' over the past year - and we can now disclose which Netflix series made the grade. It's worth mentioning that Apple TV+'s returning series, Severance season 2, ranked just below Bridgerton on this list, while Anime series, Demon Slayer season 5, came in just above it. Everybody’s favourite stalker Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) is back at his psycho antics for one last season, as You takes its final bow.

All 10 episodes of the thriller’s final season will premiere on April 24, and will see Joe return to his home town of New York. “Every season they manage to find new space to make it interesting and relevant,” Penn Badgley told Tudum on the New York set in July. “And this season, I think somehow coming back to where it started allowed for it to just become grounded in the way that it needs to also have this kind of spectacular finish.”.

It has already been confirmed by Netflix that Ginny and Georgia will be returning for another two seasons following the success of its first two installments. Fans will be thrilled to see Georgia (Brianne Howey) and her daughter Ginny (Antonia Gentry) reunite as they continue their turbulent mother-daughter story. “We ended Season 2 with Georgia arrested for murder — ruining her fairy-tale wedding and leaving the fate of the Miller family hanging in the balance,” creator and executive producer Sarah Lampert told Netflix’s Tudum.

“It’s always been Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Georgia against the world, but the world has never come for them quite as hard as it will in Season 3. We are beyond excited to finally kick off production and keep bringing our fans the characters they love.”. Unsurprisingly, Netflix juggernaut Bridgerton has made this list, as fans are eagerly awaiting the love story of Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha).

It comes after his other siblings Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor), Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Colin (Luke Newton) have already found love in previous seasons. Thompson told Tudum: “What’s striking about Season 4 is that it’s the struggle between a proper old-school fairy tale — the romance of it — and the actual reality of the world. “And both are true. You have to hold both of them — the romance and the reality — in your hand. In its best version, ‘true love’ happens in the middle of that.”.

Coming in at number two is Netflix’s Cobra Kai Season 6 Part III, which received over 100,000 searches from viewers. Part three of Cobra Kai’s sixth season will be the final end for the much-loved series, though not for the Karate Kid franchise as a whole. Fans won’t have long to wait, as it is coming to the platform on February 13, finally wrapping up the story for Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio).

“All the big bads are still in play,” Hayden Schlossberg, who co-created the show with Jon Hurwitz and Josh Heald, told Tudum. “You still have Kreese, Silver, Sensei Wolf, Master Kim Da-Eun. Everyone is still on the board. Nothing’s been resolved. We have a lot of fun in store with all the characters left in tatters at the end of Episode 10.”. By far the most-anticipated show, with over 236,000 searches, is Stranger Things, which is returning for its fifth and final season.

Fans can’t wait to see how everything will turn out for the Hawkins crew, who we’ve been keeping up with since many of them were children. A lengthy 2024 instagram post from Ross Duffer, one half of the Duffer Brothers writing duo alongside his sibling Matt, read: “We’ve been telling this story for nearly a decade now. “Many of our cast members joined us when they were kids, just ten or eleven years old. It wasn’t just a show for them — it was a defining part of their childhood. They’ve grown up before our eyes, becoming more than actors—they’ve become family.

“But it’s not just the cast we consider family. Our crew — many of whom have been with us from the very beginning — holds a special place in our hearts. Their dedication and passion have been the backbone of this journey. “Everyone involved was determined to bring this story to a satisfying conclusion. They poured their hearts and souls into it, and we couldn’t be more proud of what they’ve accomplished. We can’t wait to share it with you all next year. Until then — over and out.”.
