Tyson Fury defended after claims he broke rules in second fight with Oleksandr Usyk

Tyson Fury's promoter Frank Warren has brutally denied claims that his client broke any rules during his heavyweight rematch with Oleksandr Usyk. The 'Gypsy King' was beaten for the first time in his career back in May after losing a razor-thing split decision to Usyk in Riyadh. Last month the pair went glove-to-glove for a second time inside the squared circle. In a bid to avoid suffering back-to-back defeats, the Morecambe brawler started off strong.
His sharp jabs and shots to the body looked to be too much for the Ukrainian. However, momentum shifted just before the midway point of the heavyweight dust-up. Usyk's electrifying speed and footwork was on full display - with Fury unable to have any solid answer. The second time around, Usyk would go on to eventually get his hand raised via unanimous decision.
Following the sequel in Saudi Arabia, much was made of Fury's attire - with fans particularly questioning his choice of shorts. Many boxing purists wondered if they were too high. However, the Brit's promoter, Warren has since rubbished those claims and has denied any wrongdoing.
In an interview with Box Nation, he said: "One of the journalists talking about him wearing his shorts up to underneath his nipples... bulls***. The referee came in the dressing room before the fight. The way he wore them was legal. "Did you hear one complaint about that from the other side? None at all. Some idiot in there who knows nothing about boxing coming out with that and it's just, I don't know, I just find it ridiculous some of this stuff.".
