According to the Met Office's forecast for this week, the agency said today will be "largely dry and rather cloudy on Tuesday, although the odd shower cannot be ruled out.
In its forecast, the Met Office said the snow will be accompanied with fast wind and rain.
Northern Ireland and northwest Scotland seem to have largely spared the blast, though it will remain cold with a brisk easterly wind.
Huge swathes of the country, including parts of Essex and Cambridge, should expect around 1cm of snow per hour starting from 6pm this evening.
Other areas, including Newcastle, northern Scotland, and even London, face lighter snowfall.
