Lisa Marie Presley's battle with opioid addiction escalated to the point where she was consuming 80 pills daily, as revealed in her memoir, From Here To The Great Unknown . The addiction began after she was prescribed painkillers following the C-section birth of her twin daughters, Finley and Harper. The daughter of the iconic superstar Elvis Presley, who was 54 at the time of her death last year, became addicted to pills following the C-section birth of her twin daughters.

In the new memoir which went on sale back in October, Lisa Marie said: "It escalated to 80 pills a day. It took more and more to get high, and I honestly don't know when your body decides it can't deal with it anymore. But it does decide at some point." Lisa's son Benjamin took his own life four years ago and she revealed she struggled to cope with his sudden death.

After the heartbreaking loss of her son in 2020, Lisa Marie's addiction worsened as she turned to opioids. She described her initial use as recreational, but it soon became a dependency. The memoir read: "It was an absolute matter of addiction, withdrawal in the big league. I just wanted to check out. It was too painful to be sober.".

And her daughter Riley claimed her mother started to take opioids after the birth of her youngest daughters. She had started off taking them to relieve the pain following her c-section but it soon "progressed" into addiction. According to her memoir, Lisa Marie's family was stunned by her addiction, as she had avoided drugs since her younger years.
