UK train station changes its name for 24 hours leaving passengers absolutely baffled Commuters passing through a UK train station were left baffled after its name was changed for 24 hours.
One Twitter account, named Stop in Stockport, posted pictures of new signage and asked: "What is going on at Stockport station [?]".
All the signage has been changed from Stockport to Scottport… A whole new town, a whole new name, just to welcome Scott Mills."
The signage and information screens at the station in the Greater Manchester town have all changed just for the day as the DJ started his new role on Monday morning.
Mills, who said he used to live "quite near" Stockport, described the changes as "bonkers" and "like a fever dream" as he thanked the station team.
