UK's 'luckiest lottery numbers' unveiled after Brit scoops £177m jackpot

It has been revealed recently that a single UK ticket holder scooped an astounding £177million EuroMillions jackpot. Allwyn, the national lottery operator, confirmed it paid out the huge sum to one lucky winner – with it being the third biggest win ever.
The newly-made millionaire, who wants to remain anonymous, will now be added to the National Lottery Rich List. Many will now be dreaming that same could happen to them, and your chances could be boosted with some 'lucky' numbers. New research from Betway has examined the most commonly drawn numbers in the UK Lottery and determined which ones could be the luckiest this Christmas to land you the jackpot.
Examining the winning numbers between October 2015 and November 2024, Betway found that 37 is the luckiest number, appearing 116 times on a winning ticket. In second place is the number 52, which has been drawn 115 times, while the numbers 39 and 58 come in joint this, having appeared 113 times.
In forth position is number 27, followed by number 42 in fifth. In joint sixth position is 8 and 11, followed by 20 in seventh and 41 in eight. There are three numbers tied for ninth position, which are 34, 36 and 54 while number 13 – unlucky for some – comes in at tenth position.
This week's news of the £177million jackpot had many congratulating the mystery winner online, as one person wrote: "Congratulations to the winners, their family & friends... what a Christmas they are going to have!" While another added: "Wow! Well done somebody! Hope they enjoy their winnings!".
