University Challenge fans in awe over 'best ever' contestant's crushing victory A brilliant University Challenge whiz has been hailed as an "absolute machine" after playing a critical role in Imperial College London's total thrashing of the University of Oxford's Wadham College.
Fans of the hit quiz show were left slack-jawed by Imperial College London's fierce team, with many pointing to contestant Jaime Salamanca Camacho's stellar performance as pivotal for their triumph.
Others added acclaim: "Salamanca Camacho could be a team all on his own", said one while another shared: "Salamanca Camacho is on fire".
The Imperial student boasts a double degree in Physics and Mathematics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain, and helped ensure Oxford's Wadham College team was left in the dust.
Salamanca Camacho, currently studying for his Master of Science in Quantum Fields and Fundamental Forces in London, had BBC Two viewers glued to their screens as he led his squad to glory in a nail-biting second-round match.
