ACTOR James Norton has dropped a huge hint that he’s signed as 007 live on radio. The Bond favourite joined Jordan North, Chris Stark and Sian Welby on their Capital Breakfast show, after starring in acclaimed drama Playing Nice. And despite being “not allowed to ask” about his potential role as Bond, a caller named Nathan went ahead and did it anyway.

He said to the star: “Is this the end of the sad dad era, or are we going to see you as Bond next?”. To which Jordan said: “Ooh! Go on, Nathan!”. Sian interjected, adding: ““Great question, Nathan! We’re not allowed to ask that.”. Jordan echoed that they in fact were not allowed to ask that.

And James did a good job at swerving the question, as he said: “Bond question! Do you know what, when they asked me what the villain I’d like to play, I was like, ‘Don’t say Bond villain, don’t say Bond villain.’. “Because you know the story, the media headline.

James added: “Is it the end of a sad dad era? I don’t think so. I think there’s more sad dads to come. “In fact, the show I just mentioned, playing King Harold in the Battle of Hastings drama which we’ve got coming out, I’ve got a little tinge of the sad dad in that.

“So, I’m not out of that era quite yet!”. Capital shared the clip on their social media, with the caption: “James Norton expertly swerves the James Bond question.”. Fans were quick to comment, as one said: “He would be brilliant but I would have to start watching James Bond films.”.
