Footage has emerged of the Anfield roof leaking over one stand during Liverpool's thrilling 2-2 draw with Manchester United on Sunday evening. Amad Diallo's late strike forced the Premier League leaders to settle for a share of the spoils, preventing them from increasing their gap at the top to eight points.

Lisandro Martinez had fired United into a shock lead early in the second half but the Reds soon rallied with Cody Gakpo equalising on the hour mark and Mohamed Salah slotting home a penalty after Matthijs de Ligt was penalised for handball. However, Diallo provided the final sting in the tail for the visitors after tapping in Alejandro Garnacho's cross, securing a point that will encourage Ruben Amorim.

The showdown was played out in sheets of icy rain and the stormy weather eventually took a visible toll on the venue, as shown in videos on social media. One clip posted on X showed several leaks cascading down from the top of the Anfield Road Stand, with home supporters seemingly bearing the brunt.

'Leaky Anfield,' the user said, accompanied by an eyes emoji. The leaks sprang in the section above United's travelling contingent, who were amassed in the lower tier, and in another video shared on X, a group of Red Devils supporters took pleasure in cheekily singing 'Anfield's falling down'.
