Wicked director Jon M. Chu has revealed technical difficulties prevented the trailer for Wicked: For Good being shown at this year's Super Bowl.
Wicked made an eye-watering $726.7million at the box office and proved popular amongst critics too, with the film receiving 10 nominations at the 97th Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actress for Cynthia, and Best Supporting Actress for Ariana.
The new film – which will see Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo return to play Glinda and Elphaba - is set for release on November 21, 2025, which currently puts it up against Paramount's The Running Man remake starring Glen Powell.
It was announced in December that the sequel would be titled Wicked: For Good rather than its initial title, Wicked: Part 2.
