Dr. Janine Bowring, a naturopath who is based in Canada and has over 25 years of clinical research under her belt, has revealed four daily hacks that can help you prevent disease.

'This is really important because sunlight imprints like a barcode on our food, based on that energy from the sun and we can better metabolize our foods if we're eating in the right season,' Dr. Bowring shared.

However, per the American Academy of Dermatology Association, it is important to wear sunscreen on the areas of your body that aren't covered by clothing when you go outside, as it can help to prevent sun damage and skin cancers.

Dr. Bowring also advised people to limit their exposure to electromagnetic fields or electromotive force, also known as EMF, which emit from your phone while its in use, per National Cancer Institute.
