Woman buys 'insane' Christmas tree but can't believe her eyes when she puts it up

A woman who purchased a Christmas tree began doubting her choice once she got home. However, once it was decorated with lights and baubles, she was stunned. Taking to Twitter/X with a photo of her now viral tree, Caitlin's choice of tree was dubbed "completely insane". Sharing the image with her dog sat in front, the tree has been mocked by many online as Caitlin admits she was initially fond of her recent purchase. But it seems she, and now the rest of the internet, are no longer keen on the tree.
She wrote: "I loved this tree when I saw it in the Christmas tree lot but then I got it home and realised that it’s actually completely insane. The bit on the top is like 2 feet long.". Caitlin found herself a tad fonder of the tree once some festive additions had been made. She later revealed: "It needs more lights & the tree skirt but I’m back to being fond of it." Some are proud of Caitlin for picking the particularly unique tree and say it was right to "rescue" it. They wrote: "All trees deserve love... you rescued it and gave it a nice home.".
Another asked: "Not that I don't believe you but...someone actually had this thing for sale? And you paid actual money for it?" Caitlin replied: "For this beautiful tree, I paid 45 bucks plus a $30 (£23) donation to an org that supports housing insecure kids." Some users are looking at the positives of having such a strange-looking tree.
Several dubbed it a "Charlie Brown" tree, noting its similarities to the much-loved cartoon character's own Christmas décor. One user wrote: "It’s a perfect Charlie Brown Christmas tree and your doggo is the cutest thing ever!" Another wrote: "Nah. That tree needed a home for Christmas too. Charlie Brown and Linus would be proud.".
