These are the first pictures of a 14-year-old boy who was knifed to death on a London bus as his mum hits out at gangs. Kelyan Bokassa was stabbed to death in front of horrified passengers of the 472 bus headed toward Abbey Wood just before 2:30pm on Tuesday.

Fighting back tears, Kelyan’s mum Mary Bokassa, 50, said: “He was very kind and caring. He cares about people and had a good sense of humour. He was very polite. He was interested in football and was a supporter of Arsenal. “My son and others were taken advantage by gangs. They were groomed.”.

Heartbroken friends took to social media to share their tributes, saying he was "taken too soon," with many sharing videos of the aspiring rapper in his latest track that was released on Christmas Day. A t a police cordon yesterday a friend broke down in tears as he told The Mirror: "That’s my friend. He’s my good friend. I used to see him after school, he didn’t deserve this.

"He was a nice person. I finished school and my mum told me he got stabbed. He was a very nice person. He was good at football, but I don’t think he was perusing it as a career.”. The Mirror has contacted the Met Police for comment. Kelyan died at the scene shortly after emergency services arrived despite the best efforts of London Ambulance Service medics. Police cordons were put in place as officers carried out enquiries.
