If you see two-time Olympic gold medal winner Chloe Kim talking to herself on the slopes of Aspen tonight at the 2025 X Games, give the snowboarder known for her airtime some air. 'Mind your business,' she jokingly told the DailyMail.com ahead of the Monster Energy Women's Snowboard SuperPipe event on Saturday night in Aspen, Colorado.
For Kim, 24, it's all part of dealing with the nerves. 'I have my little things that I do to ease my nerves. I just talk to myself,' she said, adding that she tries to turn her anxiety into excitement. 'That's something I try to do mentally. Because it's the same feeling, you know? Excitement and nervousness. So, I'm like, "I'm having so much fun." As my knees are shaking.'.
Whatever tricks she does to help keep her focused clearly work; the California native is coming off a big win, taking home her fifth World Cup title at LAAX just last week. It was there that she became the first woman to pull off a cab double cork 1080 in competition.
'I learned that less than a year ago,' she reveals to the DailyMail.com. Chloe Kim (pictured) became the first woman to pull off a cab double cork 1080 in competition. Kim, 24, hopes to add to her collection of X Games gold medals at her event on Saturday night.
The California native is coming off a big win, taking home her fifth World Cup title at LAAX just last week. 'I actually got really lucky with that one. I learned and started landing them after my fourth attempt. 'I actually did it a very unconventional, unique way. I didn't use an airbag,' she said of her first try.
