It's no secret that the Maldives can be eye-wateringly expensive – why not take the edge off by booking a hotel where everything is covered?. And it’s not just the one-of-a-kind topography, the Maldives is home to some of the world’s most incredible hotels, bursting with an endless array of memorable things to see and do – from floating breakfasts in your private swimming pool and gourmet meals in underwater restaurants, to sunrise yoga classes and hours long spa treatments, to dolphin-spotting cruises and every watersport you can think of. But, in a country where almost everything has to be imported the costs can quickly mount up, making all-inclusive the smart way to go. Some islands operate on an entirely all-inclusive basis, while others offer a variety of options including packages that take care of everything. To pinpoint your dream resort, here’s our pick of the best resorts in the Maldives which offer all-inclusive deals.

Maldivian water villas don’t get more elegant than this – chic and white above the cobalt blue sea. From unlimited spa treatments, excursions, private yoga sessions and water sports to gourmet food (including an astounding cheese cellar), spirits and champagne on tap, you'll want for nothing. Pair this with the discreet, intuitive service of your private butler and you have something that will impress even the most discerning of travellers.

One island is the springboard to the overwater WIND villas, snaking across the turquoise water, as well as the main restaurant and the spa. Grab a bike from under a palm tree, or hail a golf buggy, and head to island number two where a modern, circular bar has spectacular views across the infinity pool, and serves drinks all day. From here, it's an easy journey if you're staying in an EARTH villa, hidden among the tropical foliage behind. With five restaurants open for dinner and three for lunch, plus the poolside pizzeria, guests are truly spoiled for choice when it comes to dining.
