Angelina Jolie turned heads as she arrived at the Palm Springs Film Festival Awards with a new hairstyle. The iconic star, 49, stepped out with her daughter Zahara Jolie, 19, this week after she and Brad Pitt finally reached a settlement in their lengthy divorce. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Tomb Raider star Angelina filed her paperwork on Monday and is 'relieved' it's over.
In a statement, Angelina's lawyer James Simon said: "More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family. This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.".
Angelina marked her first red carpet appearance since finalising the divorce with fresh bangs. She looked out of this world in a slim-fitting black halter silk gown. She kept her accessories to a minimum as she rocked a large ring and earrings. The star looked relaxed as she stood with her gorgeous daughter.
Zahara went for the opposite vibe as she posed for pictures in a stunning flowing white gown with lace detailing and one sleeve. She held her mum's hand as they stopped on the red carpet for snaps. At the awards show, Angelina accepted the Desert Palm Achievement Award for her role as opera singer Maria Callas in Maria.
