A woman is making a complete 180 when it comes to how she applies her makeup - after deciding to make the transition from 'MAGA' to 'liberal' makeup. Over the past few months, the look of 'Republican makeup' has taken over TikTok, as many users have made light of how some of those who voted red wear their makeup.

The TikTok trend was created by liberal user Suzanne Lambert, as she joked that she was 'doing [her] makeup like the gorg' MAGA girlies in the comments.'. On her TikTok account, she often makes videos that parody what makeup looks that members of the right are wearing.

The trend has also made an appearance in The Cut, as they pointed out that key players in the Trump administration like Kristi Noem and Alina Habba needed to blend their face makeup. In now-viral clip, Lambert highlighted a look that featured a 'drained' and 'dusty' matte foundation on the face which she blended in with her fingers, extra self-tanner on the hands, and super light-colored concealer.

Lambert also made sure to apply dark eyebrow gel, a coral-colored blush, white eyeshadow, heavy black eyeliner, and a matte, skin-toned lipstick, all of which were key elements of the look. 'What we really want to do with the eyeshadow here is use the whitest, brightest shade of eyeshadow possible, so that it actually makes the distance between the eye and the browbone look smaller,' Lambert said in the clip.

However, although the tutorial seemed to be a parody, it appeared to live rent-free in one TikTok user's mind. Earlier this month, user Casey, who also goes by the name @litmomtherapist on TikTok, admitted in a video that she couldn't stop thinking about whether or not she was wearing 'Republican' makeup.

Ironically, Casey was wearing some of they key factors of the makeup look in Lambert's tutorial - including heavy black eyeliner, a lot of foundation and bold blush. 'I do the double eyeliner, and now in my head, am I not supposed to be? Is my blush not on right? Did I not contour correctly? Am I matching my body to my face?' Casey wondered.
She then asked viewers to leave a comment about whether or not she was wearing the 'MAGA' makeup look, and asked them to give her a 'non Republican makeover.'. After posting the video, Casey was met with over 200 comments that confirmed she was, in fact, wearing 'Republican makeup.'.
'We're going to gently hold your hand when we say this, and we're saying it with love…' one user wrote. Another typed, 'You are gorgeous but yes.'. The trend has also made an appearance in The Cut , as they pointed out that key players in the Trump administration like Kristi Noem and Alina Habba needed to blend their face makeup.
And, it looks like the internet is liking this 'liberal' makeup a lot better than her 'Republican' before. So, in response, Casey became determined to fix her look, even documenting a trip to Sephora where she bought and applied all of the same products that Lambert had used in her own, non-parody makeup tutorials.
Her new look was lighter and 'fresher,' as she used brown eyeliner instead of black, less foundation that was blended out with a brush, and a simple, berry-colored lip stain complete with a glassy lip gloss over the top. Casey noted that some of the tips she was offered included wearing concealer that was less 'yellow,' blending in contour with a small brush, and to apply blush higher on the face.
The result was a lighter and more youthful, glowing face. 'GRWM with my new liberal makeup vibes — light, free, and fresh! Not a pro, just here for the fun and any tips!' Casey wrote in the caption.
