An unearthed clip has revealed The Traitors star Linda Rands' incredible singing voice. The 70 year old, who appeared on the latest series of the BBC show, became the latest contestant to be banished from the castle during Wednesday's (15 January) episode of The Traitors. She was the revealed to be a Traitor.
After her exit aired, Linda appeared on The One Show on Thursday (16 January) alongside Traitors podcast host Ed Gamble. The duo discussed the hit TV show with hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp, who wasted no time in bringing up Linda's hidden talent as an opera singer.
As the reality TV star blushed at the mention of her singing skills, Alex and Roman revealed they'd managed to source an old clip of Linda singing back in the 80s. The video had begun circulating on TikTok after Linda appeared on The Traitors. In the video, filmed in 1982, Linda is shown in a London staging of Giuseppe Verdi's Rigoletto. The vintage performance is available in its entirety on YouTube, where she's listed as 'Un paggio' in the credits. Linda looks wildly different, with long platinum blonde hair.
Linda has become somewhat of an internet sensation following her stint on The Traitors, due to her lack of acting skills and game plan. She admitted on The One Show that she knew her time to be eliminated was coming, and had prepared for her exit on the day it was announced in the castle.
After her banishment on The Traitors, she opened up about appearing on the show, saying she was happy with the outcome. She said: "I'm okay with it. I'm really proud that I wasn't the first Traitor who left. I'm proud that I made it that far because I seriously thought I'd go out pretty quickly. I was told I got as far as Paul did in the last series and I never thought I'd get that far.".
