Brighton and Aston Villa are among a list of clubs showing interest in 18-year-old South Korean sensation Do-young Yun. Daejeon Hana Citizen's exciting teenage prodigy is being tracked by a number of Premier League sides and background talks have been taking place in recent weeks ahead of a potential switch to England.
South Korean sources believe the Seagulls are currently leading the charge for Yun's signature having already previously had transfer success in Asia following the impressive £2.7million capture of Kaoru Mitoma from Japanese side Kawasaki Frontale in 2021.
But it's understood Yun's representatives were also at Villa's Bodymoor Heath training ground for discussions earlier this week and there has also been rival interest from Europe. The South Korean U20 starlet hit four goals and registered six assists in all competitions last season and in any case, he would represent a signing for the future.
Yun's agents also represent 18-year-old Tottenham winger Yang Min-hyeok, who officially moved to north London at the start of the year from Gangwon FC after an agreement was reached between the clubs last summer. Chelsea have also made scouting checks on the player, according to South Korean sources while Wolves have also been linked with a swoop in recent months.
